Blue and Green group took part in an excellent visit to Gayhurst today to look at their special World War One Exhibition. The children were able to look at a variety of historical sources and learn about the soldiers who lived in the local area who never came back from The First World War. It also gave them an insight in to life at Gayhurst at the turn of the last century. The children visited the War Memorial in the church and paid their respects at the War Grave in the church yard. We ended our morning by looking for and finding the 'ice cave' in the grounds!
The children asked some excellent questions and made some superb links to their prior learning on World War II and Bletchley Park. Please look at The Gallery for photographs.
