At Newton Blossomville CE School, we believe that every pupil deserves the support they need to thrive. Our SEND provision is designed to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their needs, feel included, valued, and able to reach their full potential. Our aim is to make sure that every pupil gets the right support, at the right time. We know that parents and carers are key partners in their child’s education and that is why we are here to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and work with you every step of the way. At Newton Blossomville CE School, inclusion is at the heart of what we do and we strive to create a school where all pupils can feel safe, make friends, and enjoy learning—no matter their starting point or the challenges they face. Together, we can help every pupil shine.
As an inclusive school, we offer a range of provisions tailored to support children with various Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with social, communication, and interaction needs, learning difficulties, emotional and mental health needs, and physical needs.
We endeavour to promptly identify each child’s particular needs and respond appropriately, enabling them to make progress alongside their peers. Newton Blossomville CE School is committed to providing an inclusive, quality education to all pupils across our family of schools, promoting equality of access and opportunity in all areas of the curriculum. Our children learn in happy, exciting, respectful, and supportive environments, equipping them with the knowledge and cultural capital necessary for success in life.
There is a shared expectation that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, should receive inclusive teaching that facilitates optimal progress and fosters a sense of belonging within the wider school community. The Village Federation Schools (VSF) implements a systematic approach to ensure continuity of provision, aligned with the Government’s SEND Code of Practice (2014) and our SEN Policy. Furthermore, the Local Authority’s local offer effectively communicates the services available to parents and young people, ensuring clarity in our provision for SEND.
