FONS
Welcome to FONS, Friends of Newton Blossomville School, which was set up over 20 years ago and is a Parent Teacher Association. FONS has three main aims:
- to provide facilities that enhance the education of children at the school;
- to foster relationships between staff and parents;
- to engage in activities which support the school.
All parents of children at the school are automatically members.
Each year a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer are elected by the members at the AGM, which is normally held in October. These four post holders form a committee which is responsible for the running of FONS.
FONS uses the funds raised at a series of events throughout the year to supply the school with both equipment and services. Examples of funded school activities are visits to the theatre, rugby club coaching sessions, steel band performance, school trips and visits to local places of interest and further afield to Warwick Castle and London.
