Newton Blossomville CE School News
The start of a new school year always brings excitement, and our children have returned full of stories from their summer adventures. It has been wonderful to hear their tales of fun and laughter and to welcome everyone back into our small, nurturing school family. Newton Blossomville School is truly a place filled with warmth, smiles and a commitment to putting each child first.
At Newton Blossomville, we believe in building our curriculum around the needs and interests of the children. This half term our topic is “Me and Where I Live”. The children are becoming historians, discovering the fascinating history of Newton Blossomville. They are already busy asking questions, finding out interesting facts, and imagining what life would have been like in the village without electricity! To support their learning, we will be visiting Milton Keynes Museum with our friends from Stoke Goldington and Sherington Schools. This is a wonderful opportunity to share experiences and broaden horizons together.
We are also looking ahead to our Harvest Festival on Friday 10th October at 9.15am in St Nicholas Church. Everyone is welcome to celebrate with us and stay for a cup of tea and some tasty autumn treats! The children are practising songs and preparing poems to share at the service, and we will once again be collecting donations for the Milton Keynes Food Bank, helping to support local families in need.
At Newton Blossomville, we celebrate each child’s individuality and achievements. We encourage independence and resilience, value the importance of play, and ensure children have plenty of opportunities to be active, curious and creative. It is a joy to see them grow not only in knowledge, but also in confidence and character.
