Stoke Bruerne and Newton Lodge Farm!
Last half term at Newton Blossomville we have been looking at our local river, The River Great Ouse. We are very lucky to be so close to the river and regularly enjoy walking across the footbridges and watching the river change with the seasons. On Thursday we had a visit from the Canal and River Trust who talked to us about staying safe when you are near water and then on Friday we travelled to Stoke Bruerne, Canal to compare our river with the Grand Union Canal. We visited the Canal Museum and had a boat ride up the canal and into Blisworth Tunnel.
On the way back the coach kindly dropped us at Newton Lodge farm where we had a picnic before exploring the farm and meeting the baby lambs. We even had Paul Dorney from Milton Keynes Library meet us at the farm and read us some wonderful farm stories.
A busy day full of fun and learning!
